日本国立物质材料研究所(NIMS)和早稻田大学NAKANISHI Jun教授招三年制博士生

Professor NAKANISHI Jun's Mechanobiology Group is dedicated for the development of new materials and methodologies to understand and intervene in cell mechanobiological responses, especially in cell migration, stem cell fate decision, and apoptosis. The team plans to recruit 1-2 doctoral students. 1. Requirement a. A master's degree (a master's degree can be obtained before 1) April 2025 or 2) August 2025); b. A relevant professional research background; 3. Good English speaking and writing skills. 4. Applicants must have a TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS score report valid within 2 years (TOEIC: 800/TOEFL: 79/IELTS: 6.5). 2. Research direction Develop new materials, such as photoresponsive materials, liquid-based scaffolds, and nano materials, for the fundamental understanding of cell-materials interactions and creation of new materials-based therapeutics. 3. The information of supervisor Professor Jun Nakanishi got his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry in University of Tokyo. After that, he expanded his analytical minds to explore materials-based mechanobiology research for many years. He has published more than 100 academic papers in prestigious journals and books, including Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Biomaterials, etc. He is establishing this new research community crossing the globe by organizing international conferences (International Symposium on Nanoarchitectonics for Mechanobiology) for several times and publishing a book (Material-based Mechanobiology). Prof. Jun Nakanishi is currently the group leader of Mechanobiology Group in internationally renowned National Institute for Materials Science, Japan, and has professor positions in the Department of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, Waseda University and Department of Materials Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science. |
