代替Georgia大学孙老师招聘Graduate Research Assistant,植物病理系全奖博士机会 招聘信息如下: POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Graduate Research Assistant – Molecular Plant Virology The University of Georgia’s Department of Plant Pathology (plantpath.caes.uga.edu) is seeking a candidate to pursue Ph.D. studies in Molecular Plant Virology starting in Spring Semester (January) or summer semester (May or June) 2025. The successful candidate will focus on the study of host resistance to viruses and improving host resistance through genome editing, with an emphasis on emerging viruses such as cotton leafroll dwarf virus in cotton. The student will investigate virus pathogenicity, virus-host interactions, and plant innate immunity through a systems biology approach, such as integrating biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics at the cellular, tissue, or organism level. The student will have the opportunity to interact with growers and producers, contribute to teaching graduate courses in plant pathology, and assist in the preparation of grant proposals. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Virology, Plant Science, or related field. International Students must demonstrate English proficiency. The minimum TOEFL score requirement is an overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing, and the minimum IELTS score requirement is an overall bandwidth of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0. The GRE is not required for admission into M.Sc. or Ph.D. programs in Plant Pathology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Plant Pathology, Plant Virology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or a related field. Experience with advanced microscopes and/or bioinformatics is preferred but not required.
