Adjust the solution with NaHCO3 to  a pH 9.0 （美国药典中的类似翻译），衔接上下文，可以省略the solution，或改成it。

The solutions was added using NaHCO3  to adjust the pH to 8.0
还是：NaHCO3 was added into the solution to adjust the ph to 8
好像第二句好些。但是我想用the solution 做主语，怎么翻译好？
