INSTITUTE OF MATERIALS RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING (IMRE) The Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), is a research institute of the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Established in September 1997, IMRE has built strong capabilities in the areas of polymeric & organic materials, composite & structural materials, advanced materials characterisation & fabrication, optics and electronics.
