Two Ph.D. Program Vacancies

Starting time： September 2024
Program： 4-year program in Mining Engineering at the University of Alberta
Project： Developing and modelling sustainable cement-based mixtures for the mining industry
Academic Requirements：
• Undergraduate GPA > 3.3 (or equivalent; 82%);
• Holding (or will hold) an MSc degree;
• Proven publication record (i.e., peer-reviewed journal paper)

Targeted Discipline：
Mining/Civil and OTHER relevant engineering disciplines. Some applicants may feel unfamiliar with the project topics. This is NOT an issue. Adequate training, courses, and responsible supervision will be guaranteed to help students succeed in their PhD studies.

Assessment Criteria:
All applicants are welcome. The following assessment criteria will be used to seek the most suited candidates:
      1. Following academic ethics
      2. Consistency in academic excellence
      3. Research potential
      4. Fit to the research topic
      5. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
      6. Self-motivation and resilience
