For this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing novel algorithms and approaches to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of sequence alignment and genome assembly. Your expertise will contribute to advancing the field of genomics and enable breakthrough discoveries in understanding genetic information. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement novel bioinformatics algorithms for processing next generation sequencing data. - Analyze and interpret biological data using various computational tools and algorithms. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research projects and provide bioinformatics expertise. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and contribute to the development of new methodologies. - Contribute to scientific publications and present findings at conferences and meetings. Requirements: - Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field. - Strong in algorithm and data structure in bioinformatics - Familiarity with processing of next generation sequencing data and experience with relevant software. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, R, or Perl. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
