U of South Carolina/Howard U招收Research Scientist of Quantum Chemistry/Physics

Research Scientist of Quantum Chemistry / Physics (Duration 2 years; remote working; start immediately; Salary: $60K - $65K per year) A Research Scientist position of Quantum Chemistry and Physics is available from the fall of 2023 at the Howard University in Washington D.C. This position is for the joint project about 2D materials and biosensing using quantum computation and machine learning from Dr. Pratibha Dev in the Department of Physics at Howard University and Dr. Tao Wei at Departments of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. The appointment is initially for one year and is extendible up to the total of 2.0 years based on the performance of the candidate. Remote work is allowed. Salary is $60K-65 K per year. Required qualifications: 1. Demonstrates experience and expertise in quantum chemistry and quantum physics. 2. Demonstrates expertise in QM/MM, constrained DFT, AIMD or/and quantum dynamics simulations. 3. Ability of programming in one (or more) of the following: C/C++, Fortran and Python 4.PhD degree is required to take the position. PhD candidates who will graduate soon are welcome to apply. Expertise in Machine learning, Neural Network MD, or Kinetic Monte Carlo would be a plus.
