PhD students in numerical modeling of hydraulic and fluid systems.

Multiple funded Research Assistantship positions for PhD students are available at the Center for Natural Resources at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (https://cnr.njit.edu), located 20 minutes from downtown New York City. The research entails conducting numerical simulations using hydraulics and fluid dynamics software and addressing both practical and fundamental research questions. The research is 70/30 modeling/experimental, and the latter would be conducted using the latest techniques for detection and visualization. Candidates with a Master degree are preferred, and they should have good communication skills, willing-to-learn attitude, and a solid knowledge of mathematics and hydraulics. The candidates should be able to meet the NJIT graduate school admission requirements: (GPA/GRE/TOEFL, https://www.njit.edu/graduatestudies/index.php) This is a fully funded position to be started as soon as possible (Fall 2024).
