Brookhart: http://www.chem.unc.edu/people/faculty/brookhartms/msbindex.html 北卡的牛人,也是搞金属有机催化剂的.1995他们研究组设计合成的阳离子阿尔法二亚胺Ni和Pd的金属有机催化剂可在MAO的作用下高活性催化乙烯进行聚合直接得到支化的聚乙烯.从而改变了过去的几十年间人们认为后过渡金属催化剂只能催化乙烯齐聚反应的观念.从而掀起了后过渡金属催化剂研究的热潮.有人开玩笑似的说,现在全世界都跟着Brookhart作催化剂呢......... Vernon C. Gibson :http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/vgibson/ 帝国工业大学的牛人,同样是作烯烃聚合催化剂的,1998年与Brookhart各自独立发现了吡啶双亚胺铁和钴的催化剂可催化乙烯高活性聚合,活性可与经典的茂金属催化剂相媲美.在此之前,是没有铁系催化剂催化乙烯聚合的报道的.
