Associate Professor/ Associate Researcher

Are you an ambitious organic chemist aiming to drive a high-level research program? Are you a team worker who thrives on developing our team members as much as our science? Then our team may be looking for you! We offer: Our labs in the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology at Tianjin University have an opening for either a Yingcai Associate Professor or Associate Researcher to set up and manage a shared research program in the field of organic chemistry, with a clear eye to biological applications. We focus on developing and understanding novel organic reactions, many of them click reactions, to construct either biologically active small molecules or functionalized materials. Our labs are ca. 200 m2, have 11 fume hoods and are properly equipped. In addition, our school has an excellent and well-managed Chemical Analysis Center that is fully equipped for high-end organic chemistry and chemical biology. Our team has an international focus, and aims to expand it research directions. We are looking for: High-level organic chemist with - recent PhD and international postdoc experience, with excellent track record - focus on both organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms with an eye to biological phenomena - demonstrated ability to guide both undergraduate and PhD students. - excellent team-leading and communication skills, and fluency in both English and Chinese. - combined high independence with interest to co-lead a group of young chemists For further information on the contents of the job, please contact prof.
