The LPPI (Laboratoire de Physico-chimie des Polym¨¨res et des Interfaces), CY Cergy Paris University, has applied for a CPJ (Chaire Professeur Junior) focused on the theoretical approaches in the domain of Organic Electronics. This CPJ position (if approved) should start by mid-2024, with an initial contract for three-six years. In case of satisfying experience, at the end of this first period, the CPJ position is conceived to be directly transformed into a permanent full Professor position. With regard to this application, and in view of the golden route open towards a full professor permanent position, we are looking for a skillful and highly experienced and motivated researcher with a PhD in computational chemistry/physics. Profile for a CPJ position within the LPPI at CYU: Additional details Research The candidate is expected to: • have strong expertise in electronic structure calculations applied on isolated molecules and/or periodic systems. Expertise in molecular dynamics simulations and/or Kinetic Monte-Carlo methods will be very appreciated. • be autonomous, a dynamic and enthusiastic team leader • be highly motivated by conducting a collaborative research project. • have good communications skills in English (reading, writing and speaking). • have experience with some programming languages. The research domain of the candidate should concern (or be reoriented after hiring) on the organic electronics in general, with desired focus on the organic- and/or hybrid solar cell and organic light-emitting diodes applications. Teaching duties The candidate will have to teach 64 hours/year in addition to the research Funding - A global package of 200000 euros is given in the beginning, with a minimum of 120000 euros for the salary of collaborators (PhD, post-doc, etc) and functioning. This does not exclude any other eventual funding. - 51100 euros/year (including charges) for a minimum annual salary, being possible to complete by the university or other sources.
