为何一篇SCI论文被两个期刊编辑分别直接拒稿?

我是个新手,写了一篇英文SCI文章, 两次直接被SCI期刊(IF>2)的编辑锯掉,非常郁闷. 文章似乎没有价值再修改投稿了? 被编辑贬得一文不值了。 请各位虫友给点建议. 第一次投稿后,被编辑锯掉: 第一次编辑回信: Dear ** *, Having gone through this paper I am of the opinion that it is a very minor extension of your earlier paper (**) that was recently accepted by this Journal. This paper merely considers sub-freezing conditions and slightly different storage periods. This is not adequately different and I am therefore rejecting the paper. Please note that that our journal does not accept progress reports that attempt to generate multiple manuscripts on the same theme. The work must be novel with sufficient evidence of advancing the field of food engineering to justify further review. I am sorry to disappoint you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to consider your work. Yours sincerely, ** ** Editor Journal of **. 第二次编辑回信: Dear ** *, I regret to inform you that the content of your paper is not appropriate for publication in ***. The research reported in this paper is relevant and of interest to industry. The work was carried out in a competent fashion and is technically sound. However, the work is of limited general interest and is lacking in scientific depth and novelty to warrant publication in **. This decision is based on our editorial policy to publish more fundamental work of a general nature. I understand that this decision may be frustrating since I know how long it takes to prepare a manuscript in a particular journal format. However, I invite you and members of your group to submit mechanistic papers with a strong quantitative emphasis for consideration for publication in**in the future. 楼上的分析很有见地，我的一篇论文投一个IF接近3的期刊，中间修改了5次（其中前2次格式不符，第3次还是说英语不符合要求，修改后投了有近半个月，结果我导又对我的论文修改了一下，然后我申请了撤稿重投，结果第4次重投第2天直接拒掉。经过第4次后，我花了1个星期对论文仔细修改，包括看该期发表的论文、英语使用特色，然后对论文的内容和结构进行了大手术，英语也进行了大幅修改。在过去了一个星期后人家编辑竟然还是把稿件发回来说英语和格式不符，我晕。 奶奶的，我当天就撤稿了，投到另一刊物，没想到第二天晚上就under review. 说了这么多，还是一句话，好些高影响刊物的稿件量大（特别是周期短的刊物，如月刊），语式和格式要求特别高，在投稿前要好好研究，别在第一次投的时修因格式问题而拒了断（我就吃了亏，要是第一次投之前就好好研究这个刊物的格式和英语写作风格，也可能不会有5次失败），同时还要记往东山不亮西山亮，这个刊物不行抓紧改投他刊（前提是好好修改自已的论文，包括内容、研究方法、论文结构、摘要、英语），只要论文的质量还行，总会找到合适的刊物。 [ Last edited by liuhuihu08 on 2009-10-6 at 15:00 ] |
