Several Postdoc and PhD candidate positions are available in the group of Dr. Han Xiao at Rice University. The focus of our research is the development of innovative chemical tools allowing us to understand complex biology system as well as develop novel therapeutic strategies. More information on the research program can be found at: https://xiao.rice.edu. We are currently accepting applications for highly self-motivated postdoc and graduate students with chemical, biological, biomedical, or related background. 1. Metabolic Engineering: Xiao lab focus on the development of relay systems for non canonical amino acid metabolic engineering and genetic incorporation. We are looking for postdoc fellows/visiting scholars with experiences in metabolic engineering to join this project. Candidates with experiences in genome editing, protein engineering, and/or cell engineering are preferred. Please check some of our previous works: 1) Nature Communications, doi.org/10.1038/s41467-022-33111-4; 2) Protein Sci, doi.org/10.1021/acscentsci.1c01024; and et al. 2. Protein and Cell Engineering: We are looking for scholars with experiences in protein and cell engineering to join this project. Candidates with experiences in genome editing, protein engineering, and/or cell engineering are preferred. Please check some of our previous works: 1) Chem, doi.org/10.1016/j.chempr.2020.07.013; 2) Theranostics doi.org/10.7150/thno.62444; and et al. 3. Antibody and Immune Therapy: We are looking for scholars with a strong background in targeted therapy. Experience in antibody therapy, bispecific antibody therapy, animal work, and/or other immunotherapy is a plus.
