Postdoc position in Computational Mathematics at University of Houston Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Research Associate, a two-year, non-tenure, and non-renewable position with a start date of fall 2023, in computational mathematics and machine learning at the Department of Mathematics of University of Houston (UH), Texas, USA. The candidate will work with Dr. Min Wang. We welcome candidates with a solid background in applied mathematics and machine learning. Priority will be given to candidates who have experience in deep learning or reduced-order modeling related projects. Applicants should 1. have a Ph.D degree in Mathematics or related area by the time of start of the position. 2. have a strong background in computational mathematics, preferably with special interests in model reduction methods and deep-learning-based methods for PDEs. 3. be willing to contribute to undergraduate research projects. 4. have coding experience. The base salary is approximately 48k/year with no teaching duty. Teaching is optional and provides an extra salary. Candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
