PhD and Postdoc Positions on Advanced Materials and Manufacturing University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA Two Ph.D. Research Assistant full scholarships are available in the experimental research of materials (metals or ceramics) or advanced manufacturing (including additive manufacturing), starting from summer or fall 2023. Full scholarships cover all tuition fee, living expense, and health benefits. The candidates are expected to have Master and/or Bachelor degrees in Materials Engineering, Manufacturing, Lasers, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Candidates need to satisfy UNL’s Graduate Admission Requirements in English (TOEFL 79 or IETLS 6.5). GRE score can be waived for excellent applicants. Salary is $48,000 per year plus retirement and health benefits. The successful candidates will join in Dr. Bai Cui’s research lab at the department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Dr. Cui is College of Engineering R. Vernon McBroom Associate Professor, who leads the cutting-edge research of materials for extreme environments (e.g., high-entropy materials, high-temperature alloys/ceramics) and novel manufacturing processes (including additive manufacturing, laser processing, SPS), and has many collaborations with U.S. industry and national labs.
