减少能源消耗/碳足迹排放/废物/环境影响并提高产品的可回收性/再利用/恢复/修复。这包括:
•        开发新型、环保和具有成本效益的材料合成、材料加工和制造。
•        设计和开发新的“清洁和可持续材料”、用于清洁能源生产/储存的设备/系统,以及生物传感器/生物相容性植入物的应用。
•        开发智能且耐用的材料、设备仪器或系统(集成结构健康监测),以及工程应用的自动检测感知。
•        为一系列应用建模、设计和开发可持续、耐用和智能的多功能材料、设备或系统,包括但不限于工程行业中的清洁能源生产、储能、生物传感器、生物植入物和结构监测。

professor choy is conducting innovative and cutting-edge world class research on sustainable materials and process development to address global challenges in energy, environment, health & wellbeing areas for a better world. you are invited to apply for one of the research fellow posts at duke kunshan university to be part of the growing team and to participate in setting up innovative and cutting-edge world leading sustainable materials research environment and knowledge transfer platform. the postholder will undertake fundamental, applied and translational research in areas of sustainable materials and process development that will lead to reduced energy consumption/carbon footprint/waste/ environmental impact and improved product recyclability/reuse/recovery/ repair. this includes:
• development of novel, eco-friendly and cost-effective materials synthesis, materials processing and manufacturing.
• design & develop new “clean and sustainable materials”, devices/system for clean energy production/ storage, and biosensors/biocompatible implants applications.
• development of smart & durable materials, devices or system (with integrated structural health monitoring), and self-sensing for engineering applications.
• modelling, designing and development of sustainable, durable, and smart multifunctional materials, devices or systems for a range of applications, including but not limiting to clean energy production, energy storage, biosensors, bioimplants, and structural monitoring in engineering industries.
