Job Title:         Research Engineer - PEM electrolyser design and demo
PRR Agenda (s):         Moving2Neutrality
Project Title (s):         Development of PEM electrolysers and Development of ALK electrolyser
Job Reference:         RRP.11.28.19.9
Contract duration:         36 months
Expected hiring date:         January 2023
Main Job Duties:        
• Perform the R&D activities as planned in the project.
• Collaborate with other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D.
• Report to supervisor and project leader(s) on R&D progress.
• Communicate the results in project/professional meetings.
• Engage in other project dissemination activities.
• Manage the electrolyzer demo and engage in external funding applications.

Required Qualification:         MSc in Electrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
Mandatory requirements:        
• Familiarity with the configuration and structure of PEM electrolyzers.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in design and mechanical engineering of electrolyzer components/cells/systems.
• Having proven track-record on electrolyzer design and development (e.g., publications, patents, prototypes).
• Enthusiasm in developing electrolyzer demo systems and collaborating with researchers, internally and externally, on demonstration.

Other preferred qualifications:        
• Knowledge of flow dynamics and flow field simulations.
• Knowledge of system control and electrolyzer management systems.
• Experience with industrial companies.
• PhD in Electrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
