Job Title:         Research Fellow (PostDoc) - Non-PGM electrocatalysts for asymmetric water electrolysis
PRR Agenda (s):         Moving2Neutrality
Project Title (s):         Development of ALK electrolysers
Job Reference:         RRP.11.29.19.10
Contract duration:         36 months
Expected hiring date:         January 2023
Main Job Duties:        
• Perform the R&D activities as planned in the project.
• Collaborate with other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D.
• Regularly report to supervisor and project leader(s) on R&D progress.
• Publish project results and communicate the results in project/professional meetings.
• Engage in other project dissemination activities.

Required Qualification:         PhD in Electrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
Mandatory requirements:        
• Hands-on experience in electrocatalyst synthesis, particularly in non-PGM based transition metal compound (phosphide, chalcogenide, boride, etc.) catalysts.
• Extensive knowledge of electrocatalysis and electrocatalytic performance assessment, being familiar with asymmetric electrolysis.
• Good track-record on transition metal-based catalysts for HER and/or OER, in the form of scientific publications and/or patents as the leading author.
• Competences in project results dissemination, e.g. publications in scientific journals and presentations at professional meetings.

Other preferred qualifications:        
• Knowledge of and experience in seawater electrolysis.
• Knowledge of and experience in bipolar membrane electrolysis.
