[交流] 英国格拉斯哥大学博士招生--微波滤波器设计方向

applications are invited for a four-year fully funded phd research studentship in advanced microwave filter design using ai-driven filter design methodology. the student will be registered at james watt school of engineering, university of glasgow, scotland, uk, and will be co-supervised by dr. yi wang (university of birmingham) and dr. bo liu (university of glasgow). university of glasgow is an internationally top 100 university (#81 in qs world university rankings 2023). the program is funded by one of the leading cad companies, the mathworks inc. (the creator of matlab and simulink).

the phd student will focus on research into advanced microwave filter design, including practical filter cases and design methodology. ai-driven filter design technique will be used in this process. he/she will become one of the next-generation filter designers armed with ai-driven filter design methodology and tools, which will significantly promote the phd student’s future career, either from industry or academic point of view. the studentship is expected to be available from 1st october 2023 or earlier (negotiable).
applicants should show their competence in filter knowledge and design through their learned courses, publication track record and/or industry experience. matlab programming ability is essential.
