摘要: The waste is oxidised with calcium peroxide in the form of powdered solid or suspension, in presence of a catalyst contg. copper and/or manganese ions, in the form of powder or soln., the catalyst being taken in an amount of 0.3-0.8 g/g. dye.

USE-The method is used for treating waste contg. dyes prior to biological oxidn.

ADVANTAGE-The process gives treated waste with a colour intensity below the value 1 : 40, and increases the oxidisability of the waste in subsequent biochemical treatment.
