Job Requirements: • Bachelor in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields. • With basic materials characterization know-how i.e., SEM, TEM and XRD • With basic electrochemistry knowledge • With basic knowledge of analytic chemistry, i.e., NMR/GC/HPLC. • With experience in materials science, analytical chemistry and electrochemical techniques. • Has interest to work on impactful problems; creativity is critical for success. • Resourcefulness in problem solving and dealing with technical issues • Hardworking and good team player, with ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. About the PI Leow Wan Ru is a scientist at the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto. She received her B.Eng. degree in 2012 from the School of Chemical and Biomedical engineering and her Ph.D. in 2017 from the School of Materials Science and Engineering in Nanyang Technological University. Her research interests are focused on the study and design of novel and efficient photocatalytic and electrocatalytic systems for decarbonized chemical conversions. She has published 57 papers in journals such as Science, Nature Catalysis, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie and Advanced Materials.
