香港城市大学生物信息及机器学习方向招收博士研究生（2023年9月入学）

香港城市大学Dr. Yanni Sun课题组招收生物信息及机器学习方向博士研究生。Dr. Sun 在 Washington University in Saint Louis 计算机科学系获得博士学位，一直从事生物信息学的研究。 我们的研究对象是生物数据，用的方法包括 algorithms, probabilistic models, machine learning/deep learning, and data mining. 你会得到严格和充分的科研训练和广阔的就业前景。欢迎有一技之长的你来申请，无论是擅长找问题，发现问题，还是编程，数据分析，亦或对微生物相关领域有研究经验都热烈欢迎。 具体研究方向： Bioinformatics, sequence analysis, microbiome analysis using machine learning models and sequence analysis algorithms. Besides the following topics, we also welcome the applicants to explore other related topics. Example projects: --Deep learning-based microbiome data composition analysis, host/interaction prediction, and classification. --Metagenomic analysis --Methods/tools of using third-generation sequencing (TGS) reads to understand microbes --More details about our projects can be found at: https://yannisun.github.io 工作环境及相关待遇： --A position at a top research program --Interdisciplinary training in both machine learning and its applications to biological data; --Working on truly inter-disciplinary projects with high impact --Engaged colleagues and an international and dynamic working environment --为录取者提供全额奖学金 学历要求：本科或硕士 专业背景及相关经验要求： You should have training from Computer Science, Data Science, Electronic Engineering, BME, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or related fields. You need to be familiar with some programming languages/data processing pipelines. You should be highly motivated to study research problems you are interested in. I am happy to provide you with the freedom of choosing appropriate research topics.
