Introduction to Dingchang Lin, Ph.D. Dr. Lin is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University (MSE & Institute for NanoBiotechnology). He obtained his B.S. from Tsinghua University in 2013 (with distinction) and Ph.D. from Stanford University (Advisor: Dr. Yi Cui) in 2018. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, Dr. Lin has worked with Dr. Charles M. Lieber (A pioneer in Nanotechnology and Bioelectronics) and Dr. Adam E. Cohen (A pioneer in molecular indicators, well-known for his innovation in Genetically Encoded Voltage Indicators). By far, Dr. Lin has made significant scientific contributions (https://scholar.google.com/citat ... AAAJ&hl=en), with 18 first-author publications, a total citation of over 18,300 times, and an H-index of 49. Tucker Memorial Award. The Lin Lab is well funded for the next five years. The available positions are related to protein engineering, development of genetically encodable molecular tools, cell biology, mechanobiology, and optics/microscopy. Candidates with experience in at least one of the above areas will be preferentially considered. Extensive experience in Matlab and/or Python (computer vision, machine learning) will be advantageous. Openings: 2-3 Postdocs (to be filled immediately). |
