A postdoctoral position is available immediately to conduct biomedical research. The ideal candidate would have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, pharmacokinetics, or proteomics. Prior experience in bioanalytical method development, pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism, and proteomics is particularly desired. Alternatively, if the candidate would like to learn pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, proteomics, and biochemical assays, my laboratory can teach these. The training is multidisciplinary (bioanalytical chemistry, proteomics, biochemistry, pharmacology, animal models of disease) and translational (analyses of human tissues from patients with disease and healthy controls), and will expand opportunities to solve biomedical problems. Current projects focus on understanding spore germination in Clostridioides difficile, glioblastoma multiforme, identification and quantification of proteins, and the evaluation of the drug-like properties of potential pharmaceutical lead compounds. The work environment is multidisciplinary and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work among a large group of scientists of diverse backgrounds and interests within our group. Candidates should have strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team setting in a multidisciplinary environment, willingness to work with animals, and excellent organizational skills.
