a postdoctoral associate is available at mechanical engineering at texas a&m university, college station, texas, working with prof. wei gao. the position can start as early as 8/16/2022. the research project will focus broadly on studying the mechanics of materials with multsicale modeling combined with ai and machine learning methods. the postdoc candidate is expected to have a strong background in materials modeling, with one or more of the following skills: density functional theory, molecular dynamics, phase field method and machine learning. interested candidates are encouraged to send a cv (including a description of research experiences and related skills, a publication list, and the names and contact information of 3 references) to prof. wei gao at wei.gao@tamu.edu. you may read more about prof. gao’s research at www.gao-group.org.
