澳大利亚蒙纳士大学Monash University智能交通方向招全奖博士生

Dr. Zhuo Chen from Monash university is looking for Ph.D. students in a) simulation and optimization of shared mobility (shared AV, MaaS, etc), and b) big data analytics in transportation. The students will work mainly at the Monash Suzhou campus (Suzhou, China) and be funded through a university scholarship, including a tuition waiver and a living stipend of 5000 RMB/month. The students can opt to study at the Monash Clayton campus (Melbourne, Australia) in the last year of their Ph.D. More information about Dr. Chen is available at https://www.monash.edu/engineering/zhuochen. Monash University is a member of the group of eight, an alliance of leading Australian universities recognized for their excellence in teaching and research. It is consistently ranked in the world's top 100 universities (#57 by times higher education 2022, #58 by qs 2022, and #40 by us news 2022). Transportation science & technology in Monash is ranked 45th in the world (academic ranking of world universities, 2021). Required Qualifications: 1. a master's degree in transportation engineering or other disciplines related to transportation (Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng, Statistics, EE, IT, GIS, CS, etc.) 2. applicants with a B.S. degree from a renowned university will also be considered; 3. an average grade of 85/100 is required; applicants who have lower average grades but have published first-authored paper(s) from top peer-review journals will also be considered. 4. please refer to the university website for English language proficiency and other required qualifications (https://www.monash.edu/graduate-research/study/apply) Preferred Qualifications: 1. a strong background in at least one of the following areas: optimization, transportation modeling, agent-based modeling, big data analysis, or geographic analysis; 2. excellent analytical skills; 3. excellent written and oral communication skills; 4. fluent in at least one programming language (python, java, etc.).
