The Advanced Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory (https://www.bme.cuhk.edu.hk/yuan/) is a multi-disciplinary research team at Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our lab's research focuses on developing: (1) minimally-invasive optical imaging and sensing technologies, (2) soft flexible robots and endoscopy, and (3) AI-assisted medical image analysis (real-time AI, multitask learning, federated learning et al).

Our lab are now seeking multiple postdoc fellows and RA in the fields of Optical Imaging and Sensing, Robotic Endoscopy, and Medical Image Processing. The scholars will have opportunities to work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of clinicians and researchers from optics, robotics, imaging/sensing, AI and medicine.

Candidate qualifications include:

Background in Optics, AI, Mechanical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation background
Preferably have hands-on experience in optics/AI/robots/sensors, instrumentation, intelligent systems
Strong problem-solving, writing, programming, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Outstanding academic records/publications or recognitions from worldwide top-ranking institutes
Self-motivated and preferably with strong academic records
