Reviewer #1: This manuscript reports the synthesis of *** nanocrystals in a **** matrix. In general, the results are interesting and important; however, quite a few issues in this manuscript need to be first addressed before it can considered suitable for publishing in Materials Letters. The issues are listed in the following:
1.Since one of the key issues of this concept is the incorporation of M(II) into polymer matrix by coordination bonds. Do the authors have any ideas to prove the formation of coordination bond between M(II) and **ol group?
2.The content organization of this manuscript is poor and further improvement is needed. For example, the scheme used to clarify the authors' concept should be addressed early, either in the introduction or in the results/discussion part, but not at the end of the manuscript. This will help readers understand the manuscript in a better way.  
3.In general, the style of the whole text should be justified, instead of being aligned left.
4.Detailed information of the chemicals such as commercial source, purity grade, with/without further treatment, should be mentioned in the experimental part of this manuscript.
5.The style of "?C" in line 12 of page 4 is not consistent with the text.
6.Reference is needed to support the assignment of the diffraction indexes to crystalline MS.
7.In line 6 of page 5, it should be M instead of cM.
8.There is a gap in the title of x-axis of Figure 1. It needs to be removed.
9.Journal abbreviation name should be used in ref. 2.
Finally, there are a few places in the manuscript where the English needs to be improved.
For example, instead of matrice, matrix should be used in the text.
In summary, minor mandatory revisions are required for this manuscript before it can be considered suitable for publishing in the Materials Letters.


Reviewer #2: The paper is entitled 'Morphology and size control of******** matrices'. But I can't find out any words or sentences about the control on the morphology and size. The title and contents didn't match. It can't be accepted unless the authors confirm what they are talking about.

This manuscript has two major parts. The one is correct is not innovative, and the one is innovative is not correct. Therefore, I would suggest the authors retake quantum chemistry courses and then consider submitting to this type of prestigious journal.

Reviewer #1: It is a well written paper with a clear objective and well designed experiments. The findings are a relevant contribution in the field of engineered bioremediation.
However, a few minor  issues should be addressed:

Reviewer #2: This is a good work to combine the bioslurry and two-liquid-phase systems in order to biological degrade persistant contaminants. It contains a variety of chemical and biochemical analysis in order to evaluate the performance of system. However, as I read the manuscript, I theink it need a minor revision about following comments:
