Johns Hopkins University Postdoctoral Fellow Position (Medical Imaging)
One postdoctoral training position is available in the Kirby Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University. The candidate will primarily work on several NIH funded studies to develop chemical exchanging saturation transfer (CEST) MRI techniques for mapping energy metabolites such as creatine, phosphocreatine and glucose in brain and muscle or to study the CSF flow in brain (https://pages.jh.edu/~jxu37/research.html). While working on the funded projects, she/he is encouraged to explore her/his own independent scientific interests. The research will be performed on state-of-the-art 3T Philips Elition and Achieva scanners, as well as one 11.7T Bruker Bisopec MRI animal scanner. Fresh Ph.D. graduates in Physics, Biomedical, Computer and/or Electrical engineering or related fields with MRI or other imaging techniques such as ultrasound and optical imaging are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated research experience and publication record are necessary. Successful candidates should have strong computer skills and programming in medical image processing or deep learning. Programing skills on Philips scanner is a plus while not required.
The postdoctoral position at Johns Hopkins University is a full-time research position. Initial appointment will be for one year with renewable appointments for subsequent years.
