the singapore university of technology and design (sutd) is now accepting applications for a (senior) research fellow in the project titled a stream processing based nfv platform for 5g on modern multicore processors. successful candidates will join an active research group in the istd pillar of sutd for up to three years. the candidates will be leading a group on developing novel parallel and distributed system optimizations for continuous real-time data streams of network packages. project description: network function virtulization (nfv) is a key enabling technologies in fifth generation (5g) communication networks for embedding service-level customized network slices in a network infrastructure, based on statistical resource demands to satisfy long-term quality of service (qos) requirements. we will develop a novel stream processing based nfv platform for virtual network functions (vnfs) to simplify the development and management of high-performance vnfs on modern multicore processors. requirements: the candiate must have strong programming skills in c++/java. the candiate must have a phd degree in cs from a reputable university. knowledge in parallel and distributed computing is a must. knowledge in network engineering is strongly preferred but not mandatory. knowledge in one of our open-sourced frameworks is a big bonus https://github.com/intellistream/morphstream sorry that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. pi: shuhao zhang https://istd.sutd.edu.sg/people/faculty/shuhao-zhang co-pi: binbin chen https://istd.sutd.edu.sg/people/faculty/binbin-chen 申请可提交至：https://careers.sutd.edu.sg/re/e ... ior-research-fellow |
