Dr. Xiao Fu @ Oregon State University，急招博士，今年9月之后可以入学。付老师是张量机器学习与信号处理的大专家。各位同学，如果你们有朋友在GAP YEAR, 可以考虑一下这个机会。可免GRE和托福！ 欢迎转发，感谢。 The research group of Dr. Xiao Fu in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Oregon State University (OSU) is hiring PhD students (in ECE, CS or AI). All the positions will be financially fully supported through research assistantship. Dr. Xiao Fu’s group focuses on research topics spanning the broad areas of machine learning and data analytics, with recent emphases on deep unsupervised learning, statistical machine learning, noisy label learning, crowdsourced machine learning, tensor/nonnegative matrix factorization, and deep learning for wireless communications. Our students publish at top venues such as NeuriPS, ICML, AAAI, and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. For more information, please see: https://eecs.oregonstate.edu/~fuxia/ The research group is looking for self-motivated students who have strong linear algebra, probability, and optimization background. Good English skills will also be appreciated. Students with research experience will be highly competitive, but not a must for applicants. The hired PhD student is expected to start in Sep. 2022 or Jan. 2023 (EECS at OSU can work with applicants for admission at any time). Oregon State University (OSU) is one of the leading universities in artificial intelligence and machine learning (ranks 28 in the United States according to CSRankings in 2019: https://csrankings.org/#/index?a ... mp;nlp&ir). The school of EECS offers PhD degrees in both ECE and CS. In 2021, an Artificial Intelligence Ph.D. Program has also been launched (https://eecs.oregonstate.edu/ai-degree-program). OSU has waived its GRE requirements for applicants (TOFEL can also be waived based on recommendation from advisors at OSU and evidence to support the applicants’ English proficiency). All applicants can apply for ECE, CS and AI PhD degrees, depending on his/her interest. Dr. Fu’s group has most students studying under the CS and AI programs. But students who hope to pursue ECE PhD are also welcome to apply. Oregon State University is in the West Coast of North America. The Pacific Northwest Region has its unique spectacular sceneries and friendly, diverse culture. Two most dynamical and modern cities in the U.S., Portland and Seattle, are close by. Corvallis is ranked as the No. 1 safest college town in the U.S. (ADT Security Systems, 2018), and the No. 5 most beautiful college town in America (Travelers Today, 2017).
