[交流] 美国佐治亚理工学院招聘功能材料/化学合成博士后

Sustainable Functional Materials & biochemicals' Synthesis

School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology

Prof. Zhaohui Tong's Sustainable chemistry and engineering lab is looking for a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral scholar to work on functional materials and biochemicals for environmental, food, and energy applications. The candidate from chemical engineering, chemistry, material science and engineering, polymer synthesis is preferred.

The preferred candidate should have the following qualifications:

1) Strong background in functional material/biochemical synthesis, analysis, and characterization. Organic chemistry or green chemistry background is a plus.
2) Experience in wet chemistry lab, spectroscopic and material/catalyst property characterization (e.g., NMR, GPC, FTIR, DMA, etc.).
3) Responsibility to maintain some of the lab instruments (HPLC, GPC, GC-MS, etc.), and ensuring compliance with lab safety requirements.
4) Strong writing and verbal communication skills are required. The candidate is expected to develop research ideas, stay ahead of recent field development, and write research papers in a timely manner.

The candidate should be able to:

1)       Work independently in a laboratory setting.
2)       Communicate scientific results effectively, both in written and oral formats.
3)       Think creatively, authoring peer-reviewed high qualified publications is highly preferred.
4)       Work effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary team of chemical engineers, chemists, and data analysis scientists. The capability to guide undergraduate/graduate students is a plus.

•       Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, detail orientated.
•       Strong record of quality peer-reviewed publications.
•       Ability to deliver results in an aggressive timeline.
•       Enthusiasm to conduct transformative research ideas, persistence, hardworking.
