We are looking for postdoctoral researcher in the areas of medical image analysis and machine learning to join a newly established research lab (https://www.mdanderson.org/research/departments-labs-institutes/labs/wu- laboratory.html ). We have published original research in top-ranked journals, including Nature Machine Intelligence, Radiology, Clinical Cancer Research, and Modern Pathology. The research themes are centered on: 1. develop innovative imaging biomarkers to characterize cancer phenotypes; 2. integrate images with multi-omics data across multiple scales to decipher cancer mechanisms; 3. translate imaging biomarkers to improve clinical practice. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about cancer research, self- motivated, and determined to kill cancer. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This position requires skills in advanced image analysis (e.g., image segmentation, image registration, and image-based feature extraction), machine learning, and data science. Top applicants are required to have dedicated training/ research in machine learning/deep learning, and proficiency in Python and MATLAB. The candidates must be fluent in written/spoken English and good at presenting research accomplishments. We will offer meaningful projects at the forefront of cancer research, where the successful candidates will work in a highly collaborative and diverse, multidisciplinary team.
