Senior AI Researcher / AI Researcher (GANs Expert) (PR0614/21-22) The Augmented Creativity Lab at Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications for the Senior AI Researcher/AI Researcher (GANs Expert) position. The candidate will work with a group of renowned interdisciplinary researchers, focusing on an AI-based Art Tech project addressing human-machine co-creativity research. More information about the project could be found at https://research.hkbu.edu.hk/hig ... tivity-in-hong-kong The appointee is expected to perform the following roles: Develop new algorithms for art content generation based on AI generative models like GAN and its variants; Develop demo/system/platform of symbiotic performance incorporating with AI system engineer, AI scientist and artist; and Write paper/patent and release open source code. Requirements: PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Mathematics or relevant disciplines with over 3 years of related experience. Candidates with less experience but with strong research record may also be considered; Solid R&D experience specifically in AI content generation techniques with strong expertise in related AI models, such as GANs, RL, GNNs, transformer, flow, VAE etc.; Familiar with deep learning frameworks of PyTorch/TensorFlow and GPU programming of CUDA (Mindspore is a plus); Solid coding skills on Python/C/C++/Java; Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently; Strong communication skills, the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds; and Fluent in English, good written and oral communications skills. Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
