http://www.powercon2010.com/ The 2010 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON 2010) will be held in Hangzhou, China on October 24-28, 2010. This biennial conference started in 1998 in Beijing, China. The POWERCON was co-initiated by CSEE (Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering) and IEEE/PES (Power & Energy Society). The POWERCON2010 will be co-sponsored by IEEE/PES and CSEE, and organized by China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI). POWERCON2010, the seventh in the series, will mainly provide a large forum for the practicing engineers, scholars, researchers and graduate students to meet together to discuss various issues and share the latest developments in electric power engineering and power system technology. The theme of this conference is "Smart Solutions for Fast Developing Power Systems". The constant changes to the electricity supply industry, the constraint of practicality and limited storage require smart solutions to fuel the rapid advancement of power systems. Therefore, the conference will focus not only on traditional power system issues but also new challenges facing us resulted from such as distributed generation, renewables generation and its integration into power systems, UHV transmission, wide area interconnections, development of smart grid, energy storage, energy saving and emission reduction.
