Two (2) Ph.D. Positions at UMass Lowell, Fluid Dynamics and Machine Learning

Two new Ph.D. positions (2022-2023) are available for the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. ML+FD Ph.D. Position: The research will involve the applications of fluid dynamics and machine learning. Qualifications: • a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in engineering (Computer, Mechanical, Biomedical, and Aerospace), applied mathematics, or related fields. Applicants with a master's degree are preferred. • Previous research experience is highly desirable but not required. Desirable research skills include • o computational or experimental modeling technique in fluid dynamics o fluid-structure interaction o programming (C, C++, or Python). • Strong oral and written communication skills.
