The paper is good overall, and the results reported are interesting for ferroelectric community, however, I don't think the paper is especially important and timely to warrant rapid publication in Applied Physics Letters. I would recommend it to be submitted as a regular article or brief report to Journal of Applied Physics or other condensed matter physics journal.
