[交流] 【原创】惊!!!Journal of Hazardous Materials已经成为环境类TOP期刊!!!拒稿率超高!

这个杂志我很早就熟悉了，这两年在上面发表了两篇文章，我发现这个杂志近几年的影响因子增长很快，现在已经达到2.975了。在环境类杂志算是很高的了。最近我从别人投稿的编辑回信中了解到，这个杂志竟然一跃成为环境类TOP期刊，着实让我吃了一惊，从信件中所说的可以看出，现在这个杂志对稿件的要求明显提高，稿件量超大，我一个月前刚投了一篇，稿件编号已经突破三千大关(晕死!要知道去年全年这杂志总共才发表了1100多篇)，照这个速度，今年稿件总量肯定要到五六千，所以编辑直接采取了一个措施，就是三分之二的稿件直接拒掉，只剩三分之一的送出去评审，这样相当于在很大程度上减轻了杂志社的工作负担。看来以后文章中的可能性越来越小了!

Thank you for considering the Journal of Hazardous Materials for you manuscript submission.  Your manuscript has been carefully examined and is being declined for further review in the Journal of Hazardous Materials.  This decision is not intended to reflect on the merits of the work itself.  However, we must consider each manuscript's scientific impact and interest to our readership; some factors entering into this decision include things like scope, originality, quality of the results, and significance to the discipline.  Given that this journal receives a high volume of manuscripts to be reviewed for possible publication, we regrettably are unable to accept all of the sound work submitted to us.

The Journal of Hazardous Materials is committed to fast and timely publication of the foremost research in risk assessment, control and management of hazardous materials. Due to our high standards, we have attained the prestigious honor as being one of the top Journals in Environmental Science and Engineering.  Therefore, in order for us to keep our high standing and to continually strive for timely publications; we have put in place a quick pre-screening process.  Consequently, we currently are accepting about 33% of the papers that we receive to be sent for outside review.  We regret that we cannot admit this manuscript into the formal peer review process and that the Journal of Hazardous Materials will not be able to consider this paper further.
We regret the negative outcome but appreciate having received the manuscript for review by the Journal of Hazardous Materials.  At the same time, we are looking forward to receiving your future submissions.
