Dear Colleagues,

The Catalysts (ISSN 2073-4344, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/catalysts, IF = 4.146) is publishing a Special Issue entitled "Recent Progress in Electrocatalytic Production and Reaction in Water Electrolyzers and Fuel Cells". We are serving as the Guest Editors for this issue. We think you could make an excellent contribution based on your expertise in this field.

The aim of this Special Issue on “Recent Progress in Electrocatalytic Production and Reaction in Water Electrolyzers and Fuel cells” is to present state-of-the-art works regarding catalyst preparation and device development in cells. We invite researchers to disseminate studies on electrocatalytic production and reaction in water electrolyzers and fuel cells, including catalyst and support material preparation for hydrogen evolution/oxidation reactions, oxygen evolution/reduction reactions, liquid alcohol oxidation reaction, biomass-derived compounds conversion, CO2 reduction, etc., as well as the investigation of electrocatalytic mechanisms in corresponding fields. Studies pertaining to cell design and device component development for the in situ application in water electrolyzers and fuel cells are also welcome.

The submission deadline is 31 October 2022. You may send your manuscript at any time between now and the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. You are also encouraged to send a short abstract or tentative title to us or Ms. Bonnie Luo (bonnie.luo@mdpi.com).

Catalysts is a fully open access journal. Open access (unlimited and free access for readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and their institutes. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of 2200 CHF (Swiss Francs) applies to all accepted papers.

We are pleased to share with you that /Catalysts/ received an updated Journal Impact Factor of 4.146 in the recent release of the Journal Citation Reports®. The 5-year Impact Factor was 4.399. /Catalysts/ now ranks 67/162 (Q2) in the category 'Chemistry, Physical'.
