Scientist I-Emulsion polymerization 乳液聚合研究员 This job is located in Guangzhou reporting to the Technical Manager-WBA/Polymer. RESPONSIBILITYES: • Lead R&D project to develop new products with proper properties for targeted markets; improve product portfolios; • Design and implementation of emulsion polymerization experiments in the lab and FG stability tests on innovation products. • Localization of polymer emulsion from Europe and USA. • Conducting and analyzing experiments on polymer or adhesive to determine and evaluate their chemical and physical properties and to investigate their applications to industry. Carrying out experiments to improve the performance of the polymer emulsion and engaging in research to identify new methods of processing or production. • Supporting product or process demonstrations. Advise on and drive scale-up of development products at the pilot or production scale • Appling and interpreting standard scientific theories, concepts and techniques. • Application performance assessment of polymer emulsion in WB adhesive. • Identifying and developing solutions to problems where causal relationships can be identified, and some precedence may exist. • Documenting test results and making process improvement recommendations. • Documenting project by project management methodologies. • Fulfilling responsibilities as required by the Quality System for the site/business unit. • Working in a safe and efficient manner. Polymerization: The Scientist I – emulsion polymerization is expected to synthesize the acrylate polymer emulsion to strengthen the performance of the water-based adhesives products. This would mainly focus on water-based adhesives technology. In addition, the Scientist I - emulsion polymerization would be expected to build an in-depth knowledge of the raw materials and polymerization process used to develop water-based products. Application: The Scientist I emulsion polymerization would build a fundamental understanding of the structure of polymer latex and product application performance for waterborne adhesive to meet the customer need. Commercialization: The Scientist I emulsion polymerization would have a primary objective of laboratory development, production scale –up and commercial introduction of new products. Project Management: He/she would be expected to work in a team efficiently and fulfill the project target milestones following the company innovation stage gate process. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor or Master-Degree graduate major in Polymer, Material Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering can be accepted, 2-6 years R&D emulsion polymerization is preferred (Bachelor-degree is preferred 3-8 years’ experience), preferably with a famous chemical company with polymer emulsion development or products. • Experience of the raw materials used in the development of emulsion polymerization. • Experience of polymer emulsion in the application of the waterborne coating and adhesive. • With solid knowledge in polymerization chemistry, characterization of polymer resin and scale-up from lab to pilot trial. • R&D experience in water-born resin in coating or adhesive application is plus • Demonstrated strong capabilities in project management • Result driven and open-minded • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills • Good in both Chinese and English. 感兴趣的虫友,麻烦发中英文简历至邮箱041055023@fudan.edu.cn。谢谢!
