Please check out the website for more details: https://www.gtiit.edu.cn/en/index.aspx About the Laboratory We are building a brand-new laboratory to conduct cutting-edge research in fluid power under the direction of Dr. Damiano Padovani. We offer two openings for full-time Research Assistants. These researchers will work to publish journal and conference articles with international visibility. The contract duration is for 2 years with the opportunity for additional extensions based on performance. If relevant, there is also the chance to become a Ph.D. student and get a doctoral degree from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. The salary is negotiable based on experience and is internationally competitive. Then, there are also other benefits such as work-life balance, housing on campus (rent paid by the candidate), travel allowance to professional conferences, living subsidy up to RMB 140,000 paid by the city (only for qualified candidates). Project Details The laboratory's main research focus at this stage is on energy efficiency and motion control of hydraulic systems. Several areas will be addressed such as electro-hydraulic systems, mobile hydraulics, and hybrid systems. These positions combine numerical simulations and experimental tests on full-scale machines. The main duties include the following tasks: • Develop innovative research under the guidance of a faculty member • Write research papers as the main author and/or as a co-author • Develop and run experimental test-beds • Participate in the laboratory activities as needed Selection Criteria The applicants will be judge based on the following criteria: • Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a close field (essential) • Good spoken English for every day communications (essential) • Ability to work independently as well as in a team (essential) • Some experience in one or more of the following areas (preferred): hydraulic systems, linear control theory, electric motors, experimental test-beds (any type) • Some experience with one or more of the following software (preferred): MATLAB/Simulink, SolidWorks, Amesim Keywords Fluid power (Á÷Ì嶯Á¦), hydraulic systems (Һѹϵͳ), applied control (Ó¦ÓÿØÖÆ), excavators (ÍÚ¾ò»ú), electric motors (µç¶¯»ú).
