Sample TextSample TextFig.3 shows the voltage profiles (2nd cycle) of HBTQ in 1 M LiPF6/EC+DEC electrolyte at a current density of 500 mA g-1. It reveals that HBTQ has a rather flat voltage plateau at about 2.15 V and the curves are relatively sloping in the potential range of 1.6–1.0 V at the 1st cycle, and the 2.15V plateau capacity approximately 44% composes the aggregate capacity, it has an overall uptake capacity of 2.8 Li per unit formula for the HBTQ, whereas the insertion of the 3.2 Li ions occurs at a potential range of 1.0-1.6 V. According to the mechanism of sheme 2, HBTQ has a theoretical capacity of 628 mAh g–1, because discharge voltage reached 1.0V, positive material was inserted by ca. 6.5 Li ions(initial capacity 341 mAh g–1); thus, when discharge voltage was down to 0.1V, all of Li ions was released (scheme 2). An average discharge voltage of 2.8 V and discharge capacity mostly from about 2.8V high-tension plateau after 2nd cycle. These results are highly consistent with the CV analysis.

An average discharge voltage of 2.8 V were observed after the second cycle, and discharge capacity was mostly obtained from a high-tension plateau of about 2.8V. These results are highly consistent with the CV analysis.

From Fig.3 we can easily find a neatly flat plateau at about 2.15 V and a gentle slope in the range of 1.6–1.0 V at the 1st cycle with current density of of 500 mA g-1. The plateau accounts for 44% of the aggregate capacity.
