position: research scientist electrochemistry ?绯??о???????????????????????? gbu/function: r&i job family: r&i job location: shanghai, china contact: jianxia.zheng@solvay.com solvay is a science company whose technologies bring benefits to many aspects of daily life. with more than 24,100 employees in 64 countries, solvay bonds people, ideas and elements to reinvent progress. the group seeks to create sustainable shared value for all, notably through its solvay one planet plan crafted around three pillars: protecting the climate, preserving resources and fostering better life. the group??s innovative solutions contribute to safer, cleaner, and more sustainable products found in homes, food and consumer goods, planes, cars, batteries, smart devices, health care applications, water and air purification systems. founded in 1863, solvay today ranks among the world??s top three companies for the vast majority of its activities and delivered net sales of ?10.2 billion in 2019. solvay is listed on euronext brussels (solb) and paris and in the united states, where its shares (solvy) are traded through a level i adr program. the research & innovation function (r&i) leads solvay into new growth territories with breakthrough innovation to generate new products, applications and processes in the field of sustainable chemistry. partners with the gbus to deliver more value and leverages the group??s capabilities to improve competitiveness and create new business opportunities for solvay and its customers. vacancy description the successful candidate will be responsible for developing electrocatalytic systems, for instance for energy storage (redox flow batteries, fuel cells, electrolysis) or the electrochemical conversion of bio-based raw materials. he / she will work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team dedicated to the development of eco-efficient products and processes, including collaboration with internal teams and external research institutions. key missions • provide an in-depth understanding of kinetic and thermodynamic properties of electrode materials, phase transformations, and interfacial phenomena occurring at the electrode and in the electrolyte. • contribute to and actively participate in the development, integration and characterization of high performance electrocatalytic systems and reactors. • perform data analysis and interpret experimental results to propose new experimental conditions, experiment design and testing in order to overcome deficiencies. • work in the research and innovation center in shanghai for solvay/cnrs joint lab ?c eco-efficient products and processes laboratory (e2p2l). education and experience • doctorate or post-doctorate in electrochemistry, physical chemistry or materials science. • 1 to 5 years of relevant working experience. skills • expert knowledge of electrochemistry and electrocatalysis and associated techniques (cycling tests, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, spectroelectrochemistry??). • excellent knowledge of characterization techniques for membrane electrode assemblies (xrd, sem, tem, afm, xrf, xps) in order to resolve structure-property relationships in conjunction with electrochemical performance. • knowledge of electrolysis and fuel-cell related diagnostic methods and materials. • demonstrated experience in leading r&d projects, ideally in an industrial setting or with industrial stakeholders. • critical thinking and strongly problem-oriented work style. • excellent ability to work in a team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. ????????????鷳????????????????jianxia.zheng@solvay.com???鷳??????????д?? ??Σ??????????????????????? ??????????ллС??????????
