https://www.linkedin.com/hiring/jobs/2812187302/detail/ A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Ying Wang, PhD, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton). The Bioinspired Microdevices & Microphysiological Systems (BioMM) Laboratory focuses on understanding Brain metastasis and neural degenerative diseases using Organ-on-a-chip and Body-on-a-chip microphysiological systems. The lab leverages expertise in microfluidics, microfabrication, biomaterials, 3D tissue culture, and stem cell technologies to create tissue engineered disease models and answer the questions of organ-organ interactions and cell-cell communications in metastatic brain tumor and neural degenerative diseases. Job Requirements: Applicants should hold a PhD, MD or doctoral level equivalent in a related area. Training in tissue engineering and microfluidics are required. Experience in cancer biology and/or neural degenerative diseases is highly desired. The candidate should demonstrate good verbal, written, presentation communication skills; strong organizational skills; independence in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results; the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
