CSC Scholarship – – call 2022 , R AGAZZON group, StrasbourgDr Giulio RAGAZZON, group leader at the Institut de Science et d’IngénierieSupramoléculaires of the University of Strasbourg (FR) is seeking and recruiting high level PhDstudents with CSC scholarship in 2022.Research field: Non-equilibrium supramolecular chemistryPeriod of study: 3-4yearsMajor requirements: Supramolecular chemistry, Physical chemistry, Organic chemistryDr Giulio RAGAZZON is a young emerging scientist in the field of supramolecular chemistry.His research has been published regularly in high-impact journals such as Nat. Nanotechnol. ,Chem. , Angew. Chem. , etc. and he received prestigious prizes, such as the European YoungChemist Award – gold medal. As a result, he secured a group leader position at the Institutde Science et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS) of the University of Strasbourg (seehttps://isis.unistra.fr/ ) ISIS is a small multidisciplinary institute with 17 research groups,including 4 Nobel laureates.The RAGAZZON research group (see https://ragazzonlab.isis.unistra.fr/ ) is focusing on thestudy of non-equilibrium systems powered by chemical and electrochemical energy. Inparticular, we are interested in designing, synthetizing and operating supramolecular systemsthat can perform energy-demanding (endergonic) processes, such as those at the basis ofLife. Our approach extends from demonstrating fundamental concepts to applying them insupramolecular materials.The Labs are well-equipped, with top facilities accessible at the Institute. The group started in2021, is currently expanding to 5-6 people in 2022, and has the ambition to keep expandingup to about 10 members in the following year.
