请问这是啥意思？

文章大修，需要补做不少试验，所以耽误了很长时间 从返回审稿意见到今天快两个月了 但是编辑给的期限是三个月 今天给老板来了封信（我自己打开看的） 应该在剩下30天内返回修改稿不算重新投稿吧？ 要不要回封信说明下补做试验的原因？ 谢谢大家！ Dear Prof. ###: According to our records, your manuscript#### was sent back to you for revision over two months ago and is due in 30 days. As a working policy, we deactivate manuscripts after a length of time and place them in our inactive files. They can of course be resubmitted under a new manuscript number if at some future date you wish to resubmit.
