Dear Author,
thank you for the submission of the paper"******"

for possible publication in XXX. Meanwhile your paper has been reviewed by two referees and both referee reports are attached. As you will see from the attached reports, Referee 1 is quite satisfied with your work and recommends a revision. On the other hand, Referee 2 is more critical. In particular, this referee points out several errors in your paper and recommends rejection in its current form.

Based on this review - in particular because XXX should not publish papers which contain substantial errors - I have decided to reject your paper.

On the other hand, your work is of some general interest. In particular Referee 2 has spent some efforts and has worked out a possibility, how to correct your arguments. Therefore I could imagine that a collaboration with Referee 2 would result in a paper which is correct and could be published in XXX. I am rather confident that the final decision would be positive in such a case.

Please contact your co-authors and inform me as soon as possible if you decide to add a fourth author to this paper. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
