[交流] 香港中文大学地球系统科学 - 詹彦课题组诚招博士研究生（Fall 2022 全奖）

Forecasting volcanic eruptions using precursory deformation, seismicity, and gas emissions during episodes of volcanic unrest is one of volcanology’s most significant challenges. Formulations of the host rocks’ response to the migration and evolution of fluids (e.g., magma, hydrothermal fluids, and gas) are critical but not easy. The proposed research will develop numerical models that integrate both experimental and geophysical data to advance our understanding of the subsurface processes during volcanic unrest. Note: the project is not limited to modeling volcanic unrest. 关于导师：詹彦博士，香港中文大学助理教授（2022年秋）。本科及硕士毕业于北京大学，2020年博士毕业于美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校（导师 Patricia M Gregg），毕业后在美国卡耐基研究所（Carnegie Institution for Science）进行博士后工作。从事火山、地震动力学；地壳变形；数值模拟；以及数据同化等研究，并在JGR，GRL，JVGR等国际SCI期刊发表论文十余篇。更多信息请见：https://geoyanzhan.org/
