JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) is seeking Postdoctoral Scholars to conduct fundamental research in the areas of solar modules based on perovskite and/or organics. This position requires extensive experience in the areas of perovskite materials, and perovskite solar cells and modules. The candidate should demonstrate extensive experience in synthesizing large-area perovskite films and the capability of fabricating efficient photovoltaic cells/modules, as well as expertise in measuring related performance parameters. These experiences will be evaluated based upon the prior peer-reviewed high impact factor journal publications and patents. Prior research experience in synthesizing and characterizing hybrid-perovskite materials and expertise in developing electronically and chemically engineered materials is desired. Candidate should have publications that demonstrate fundamental contributions and high device performance. The successful applicant will be actively collaborating with multiple academic and industry team members and thus good communication skills are desired. The candidate is expected to participate in development of project reports and proposals and thus good technical writing skills are highly desired. The solar laboratory is located within Energy and Environmental Sustainability Laboratories at the Penn State University Park Campus. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or other related fields by the date of hire. Positions will be funded for one year from the date of hire with possibility of renewal. For full consideration, applicants must upload a cover letter, CV, and list of relevant publications.
