[交流] 香港科技大学结构工程方向全奖招博士研究生（2022春/秋）

Two fully funded PhD positions are available in the department of civil and environmental engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), in the area of structural health monitoring and structural engineering.

To improve infrastructure resilience, quantitative information of the damage state of the RC structural members are required. Recent advances in fiber optic sensing technologies and computational mechanics provide new opportunities to address this pressing issue. The objective of the PhD project is to quantify RC structural damage with experimental investigation and advanced simulation.

Your profile:
•       You have a master's or bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
•       A strong background in structural mechanics is required.
•       Independent experimental experience or good programming skills is of advantage.
•       Knowledge in structural health monitoring is of advantage but not mandatory.
•       You are proficient in spoken and written English.

We offer:

The Postgraduate Studentship is HK$18,030 per month. Excellent candidates will also be recommended to apply for The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme, which offers a yearly stipend of HK$322,800.
